As many of you probably know, from tomorrow onwards I'm going to work at Ernst and Young for a 3 month term, bringing an end to this wonderful holiday.

And what a holiday it has been. It all began when I was clearing off/leave from army, and a fitting start was given with Zouk Out on the 9th of December. It was then a fantastic break that was almost 3 months long as I hung out and spent time with friends and also chalked up valuable experiences along the way.

For the first time in my life, I can say that I have finally killed off a certain bad memory from the past as I realise that there is indeed people around me who will always be there and will never let me down. Although ghosts from the past will still come to haunt me occasionally, I am confident that I can secure victory over them should they ever come near me again.

And so, a new phase in my life, a new adventure. I pray that the next 3 months will be another priceless experience that I can take with me. Bring on the OLs!

P.S OL stands for Office Ladies.

After a hectic festive period collecting angbaos and enjoying the Chinese New Year festivities, bigbrohu is back with a vengence. There are many things that I want to talk about like my sales job pre-CNY selling Yang Yang cookies at Raffles place and also Neck's latest flings with V and S. However, all those shall be left for future entries. Today, I'm going to talk about Ah Long's work at bu3 tong2 KTV lounge.

Bu3 tong2 KTV is located in the Bugis area, between the Bugis and Lavender MRT stations. Many of you will wonder, what is our Ah Long doing there? Is he there as a loanshark as his name would suggest? Or is he a bouncer of some sort? Waiter? Gigolo?

No. He is nothing smaller than a kitchen boy there.
Ok, maybe calling him a kitchen boy is belittling him. His job title may be 'Head Chef' for all we know as in his kitchen, he is the only guy there.

Many of you will know that in such dubious environments, suspicious characters like China girls will always frequent such places in search of riches in this Land of Gold. I applaud their efforts as it is with this sort of enterprising attitude that our forefathers carried with them when they first came to Singapore from China, turning Singapore from a fishing village into a thriving cosmopolitan city today. A typical Bu3 Tong2 girl will look like this below.

Anyway, Ah Long gave me and Joseph really first-class treatment in his territory. My readers please do not let your thoughts wonder too far with regards to my previous sentence. What Ah Long offered to the both of us was a grand total of 4 jugs + 2 glasses of beer. Such was his great influence at Bu3 Tong2 KTV. It is no wonder considering he looks like this.

The China girls there were definitely of sub-standard as I had seen much better ones in the form of $100-a-session China girls at Geylang. (Disclaimer: I do not frequent Geylang. It was just an observation I made when I was there to eat beef kway teow.)

At bu3 tong3, I also saw the waiters there openly flirting with the China girls. I wonder whether Ah Long have contracted any weird virus from contact with those girls as he was conspiciously missing for the first few days of Chinese New Year, citing illness as a reason for his absence.

Our VIP treatment continued in the main lounge where old tikos were belting out tunes from the 70s and 80s. We brought in a significant amount of youth and vigour into the whole place when I sang Mayday's Lian Ai ING. The old folks and China girls looked visibly surprised and happy with my choice of songs as they were all staring at us. After another few Jay Chou tracks, we left the place with a feeling of satisfaction and fulfilment.

FYI, Ah Long has since moved on to work at Raffles Place, such is his level of adaptability in terms of environments. Little is known about his illness and I urge all readers to play it safe and keep a safe distance when coming into contact with him.

And to those who want to share with us this wonderful experience, Bu3 Tong2 KTV Lounge is situation in Jalan Kledek, off Victoria Street.

Today's entry will be about my personal experience on 14th Feb, the day where love is all around, when couples repeat their vows of "I will love you forever" to each other and also a memorable evening whereby a substantial amount of money is spent by the male. The latter being most true to a certain BIG character among our group.

And so, our romantic overseas getaway to...........Johor Bahru, Malaysia.

On the girls' arrival at Kranji MRT, our resident Ladies' Man promptly did not disappoint by handing out 2 exquisitely-wrapped roses to them. All guys should always learn from his chivalry and gentlemanly ways.

However, 1 aspect of him which you guys should not learn from is his dressing. As the leading voice in army fashion, our forage into neighbouring Malaysia saw him being decked out in full admin attire, lest the New Balance shoes, as seen in this picture. His constant defence that because he is confident, he do not care about the way people think of him. I say, overconfidence is often a main contributing factor behind a downfall, especially if you are trying to pursue a girl. Anyway, our free walking advertisement of the Singapore army will show the Malaysians that we Singaporean soldiers are definitely well-fed and are prepared to slog it out without food for a period of 90 days or more if the need arises. However, everyone should know that not all soldiers is as prosperous as our ValentiNeck.

As usual, the main activity of the day is undoubtedly shopping, which is the activity girls spent the most time in. However, the same cannot be said for our ValentiNeck. Shopping is ranked low among "Things that I will do when I got free time" as he prides himself as an advocate of army fashion. Thus, ValentiNeck wearing this long-sleeved shirt is definitely a very rare sight and I advice my readers to print this picture out and frame it up, as it will indeed be a valuable asset to have in future. I wonder why after much cajoling and urging through the months, ValentiNeck has not responded even once to our calls for him to change out of his admin attire, but with high-pitched voices saying, "Neccckkkkk!!! You will look great in this!!!" The purchase is made without any hesitation. Such is what I call Girl Power.

Me and handsome Joseph thinking, what are we doing here on this day? A sumptuous dinner followed me and Josephs's amazingly cheap foot reflexology ( we did not order any extra service for our massage to take advantage of the low prices. FYI, it was 2 Malay guys who is just a little bit older than us who did the job).

Which fair maiden shall I give this flower to next year?

An enjoyable chill-out session at this nice 'pub' Zorro. I do not know how else to describe this place. The star-gazing session was really wonderful as the stars were out in full force that night, which I'm sure many of you sure enjoyed with your respective spouses. I sure enjoyed it too with ValentiNeck and Co.
Satisfied and happy with our bargain buys.

And this caps off a very happy day for all of us. Picture of the day above sums up our feelings and emotions all this day.

The past weekend had been a busy yet enjoyable one. A movie with the gang at Lido on Saturday and a soccer match full of thrills and spills at Aldersgate Methodist Church which we won 3-2. According to insider information, a big fan of this blog, Weihao, wanted a public apology on this well-publicised domain for the rough treatment and vulgarities that we dished out to his team. So here it is.

This is the official statement released on this blog: " The Saints team and all bigbrohu.blogspot.com associates sincerely apologies for any unpleasant event or whatsoever which happened at the match against Aldersgate Methodist Church on 11th February, 2007. We regret any incidents which may undermine our names as gentleman and hope that such incidents will not happen in the future. However, we would like to remind everyone reading this that football is a man's game, and passions do run wild on such occasions. Therefore, we hope that though our actions would not be condoned, it can be understood and also forgiven."

On the above was the official statement which was released after lengthy discussions developed post-match among the Saints team.

On the other hand, 14th February looks like its going to be an uneventful day with a unprecedented number of rejects being recorded today. I urge any one who will accept me as a date to please contact me via e-mail. It will indeed be greatly appreciated.

My tenure as a cai shen ye has ended abruptly with my employers telling me that I have an unsuitable physique as a cai shen ye. I guess what they are looking for is something like this.

Anyway, I've been surfing the net aimlessly throughout the day and chanced upon this video below. It reminded me of the good old days in Club 3 and Rush where 30 or so people would squeeze together in front of the mirror and check out themselves dancing like this. I wonder if such dancing which is worthy of appearing on "The Dance Floor" can ever be seen in any club in Singapore. Enjoy the video.

Now that I've officially ORD-ed and got my pink IC back, the truth that I'm a free man have already been quickly accepted, helped by the fact that I've already been clearing leave/off and MC since mid Dec.It had indeed been relatively busy for me recently and today I shall talk randomly about what I've been doing and also my thoughts in general.

My football dream is officially over with Balestier Khalsa not signing me up for their Prime league squad. Thanks to my SAJC coaches, they secured a trial for me and I've been on trial with Balestier for 1 week. Training with a professional outfit is definitely a wonderful experience which not every boy who plays football in Singapore can get and also getting to know the people there is a bonus as well. 1 highlight for me was that on 1 certain occasion I was asked to join the S league team for training and it feels real good when the Japanese striker could not get too many shots pass me. :) Though the running part was definitely not enjoyable, playing matches are and in the end, the fact that there are 2 keepers who had Prime league experience and that they got the nod ahead of me, it was nonetheless a valuable experience. Hopefully, I can be able to play my favourite game on a more regular basis in future, probably in NTU.

Another thing that I'm going to talk about is my recent employment as a cai shen ye, the God of Fortune. Though wearing the uniform makes me feel rather hot at times and that the beard really makes me itch(not to mention the stupid fake hair making it appear that I have hair growing out of my ears), the relatively high pay makes my efforts worthwhile. Also, coupled with the fact that I'm highly unrecognisable, or so I thought, drives me on to continue working. Anyway my debut as a cai shen ye was at Compass Point yesterday at the Tiger Beer roadshow. For those of you who want to check me out in action, sorry to disappoint you but my performances will be at various locations around Singapore. It is indeed not the hardest way to earn money and at the end of the night, I felt a sense of satisfaction, knowing that I had utilised my time well and not spent my time time as usual bumming at home. Back to the topic of me being highly unrecognisable, a former neighbour who used to play basketball with me actually recognised me in my outfit and asked me if I'm in desperate need of cash by taking up the job. I just told him that it is worth the salary but in actual fact, I'm reeling from the shock that he,who had not seen me for at least a few months, can recognise me apparently. Oh well, I think even if I'm recognisable, it is still worth the pay I guess.

Last but not least, I'm going to share with my readers my thoughts on clubbing. On 7th February, the day I was released from that horrible organisation, the whole gang of more than 20 people gathered at Zouk for the double celebration of our liberation and also Ro Now's transition to adulthood. Even though I honestly thought that I practised my New Year resolution of responsible clubbing well enough, apparently I did not really do that after hearing stories of myself post-Zouk. I guess i did appear to be looking not at my impeccable best in the club at times, admidst the alcohol and that artificial mental zone also known as being 'high', and also the novelty of Mambo nights may be losing its effect on me. Still, I will not be too quick to say that I will quit clubbing altogether, but I guess the number of times i go clubbing will be reduced significantly.

Apologies to my readers for the lack of photos, even though I did hint that I need a camera for my blog writing, none manage to catch the hint and buy me 1 for my birthday. I shall upload photos whenever I can.
Also, to all those who can't get enough of bigbrohu.blogspot.com, the following are also enjoyable reads recommended by myself.
siukwok.blogspot.com and changjian.livejournal.com
All these can be found in the links on the right of my blog.
Enjoy!

A long overdue entry on my 21st birthday celebration.
To those who have mentioned in my tagboard about me writing nothing about my birthday, it's only because I was real busy for the past week. To Vanessa: What ego you say?
Anyway, my 21st birthday was spent celebrating with my dear friends at my condo function room. Though it may just be a simple buffet dinner, I hope you guys enjoyed the occasion as I sure did.
More pictures to describe about that evening.

Above,my birthday cake. I estimate Diyan, Diyang and Neck to have eaten half of it.

On the left, my 03s76 classmates. I understand that birthday fatigue have set upon you guys to explain the fact that a number of you couldn't turn up. But your gift to me was well appreciated :)

On the right, TCHS 2D classmates, where my memory always lives. Gordon is unrecognisable from those days.

On the left, Lum Kor gang. You guys are definitely 1 of the most fun and on people I've ever come across. Thanks for the weekly street soccer sessions in helping me keep fit and healthy.

On the right, our pre-NS mambo group. Soon to be post-NS mambo group.

To the left, Chinese High Quest(sec3) and Ortus(Sec4) peeps. To the uninitiated, Quest and Ortus are consortiums, which can also be called houses, ie Sajc's Loy Fatt house. The name the consortium is changed from Quest to Ortus to signify a new beginning after the ever-increasing crime rates contributed by the Quest dudes and the plummeting results that we too produced. No matter what, I still believe this group of gentlemen on the left will turn out to be true leaders in the fields of business, technology and politics. On the right are the water polo dudes. I was part of them for a little while.

On the left, SAJC soccer guys. You guys share with me my happiest memories and we are forever legends.

On the right, SAJC girls. You are all the sweetest things. Apologies to my readers for the idiotic poses, it really is not my idea.

Next up, the violence that followed. It's the customary 'throw the birthday boy in the pool'. Diyan on the left looking like he had been doing this for years. Which is true actually. The birthday boy was also not at all traumatised by what happened with all the 'training' that he got in his secondary school days

My loyal readers that contribute to me having so many hits on my blog. Their efforts to print out so many bigbrohu.blogspot.com t-shirts definitely was 1 of the highlights of the night for me.

The people who celebrated with me my coming of age. Sorry for not having photos of those who came late or left early, your presence was appreciated by me too. Thanks again for all those who came. I understand that all of you have very hectic schedules yet made time to come to my celebration, do not worry your rewards will come on Feb 7th if you are willing to come down to Zouk. Drinks on me. Thanks for all the wonderful presents too and I'm really delighted that you all have really answered with actions my gift requests on my blog.

Cheers! Ti Kor is an adult now.
